In addition to Air Canada 24 hour Cancellation policy, the Department of Transportation mandates that all airlines "hold a fare" at the indicated amount for 24 hours without receiving payment or allowing cancellation of the reservation within 24 hours of making it. This cancellation policy applies to all domestic and international reservations booked with Air Canada to or from the United States and Canada.
