Synchronize only a subset of the data

Hi, I'm thinking of using the library to hold the player and object locations around a building (for example) or a set of underground caverns. I only want to synchronize the data within the players area and perhaps only the public parts of it. Will this approach be a good fit to the library, or does it need to always sync everything? Thanks for any pointers...

Having looked at the roadmap, I see there has been talk of this already. (Issue #59) I shall watch with bated breath.
